pdo threads
Mono Threads have become another method of tightening & thickening of skin. Mono threads come in a variety of sizes & textures for customised treatments. Aly uses TGA approved threads, made from a material called Polydioxanone (PDO), with a long history of safe & reliable use in medicine & surgery such as in sutures to close wounds.
PDO Mono Threads are not a traditional ‘thread lift’. PDO threads are primarily treat skin quality & are often used in combinations with other cosmetic treatments, which needs tightening or as a preventative procedure. Mono threads are fine & thin lengths of PDO & do not have barbs or cogs. They are loaded into a fine needle & inserted into the skin. These Mono threads are either single threads or multiple threads twisted together. The more PDO in the thread, the greater the collagen stimulation, so certain threads are better suited to certain areas. Overtime, the threads are completely absorbed by the body.
These threads are minimally invasive & are inserted into the sub dermal layer, in a mesh-like pattern, they stimulate a tissue reaction resulting in neo-callogenesis (natural production of new collagen) & fibroblast. This results in improved elasticity, smoothing of the skin, & structural repair around the area of insertion. The perfect skin rejuvenation treatment!
